NCBL PG 13 Edition

I am the kind of guy who gets morning wood every single day, but I'm pretty sure Cons get an extra hard on this morning after defeating Cocoro yesterday, thanks to the performance of their superb rookie forward Aru Subang and Din Perlis.


Despite the less crowded crowd (redundant?) yesterday and Panje Pegasus was dunking at the other side of the court, the game that was going on at the main court was way much more exciting and worth watching (top 4 wise) and kept the writer glued on the seat and had to hold before went to the toilet during the half time.

The match between Cons and Cocoro start off slow with both team couldn't find their rhythm yet but when the going get tough, the tough get going and both teams were going at each other fighting back to score and get basket per basket.

Cons managed to get a hold of the game by dominating the paint and running the fast break game with Raja, Faizal, and Mae on the floor. And their kuda tua pun were doing great by raining those 3 points shots. Despite Cocoro effort coming back for the game and their ala-ala Pegasus strategy (where you put 4 bigs and one PG) failed miserably as there were no deep penetration and ball rotation except by Aza (who play big minutes yesterday) and occasionally drive-in by Suresh.

Not only Adam "Gay Lipas" of Cocoro was off on his perimeter shooting but also slow on the ball rotation and failed to distribute the ball effectively. He ended up being benched the whole 2nd quarter. While for Hafies "Botak AhSeng", after nailing his first field goal attempt from behind the arc, missed the rest of his shots for the game.

Faiz of Cocoro lack of awareness on the defensive end caused Cocoro a couple of baskets as Cons #8 Faizal cuts in to the baseline to get the easy lay in. Thus forced Qayyum move up Faiz to the back court position. Faiz also hesitated when he was wide open on the perimeter and didn't penetrate at all which made it easier for Cons to defend him.

And it was too much for Aza to block shot every single shot and hooks by Aru and the beautiful two man play of Aru and Din dominating the paint and smartly or luckily avoiding the 3seconds violation.

Except Aza, who was playing great like always and doing a lot of damages inside and gave Cons a lot of troubles, the rest of Cocoro's big guys were either fumbling, being stripped, or trying to do too much which resulted to a turnover instead of kicking out to the open guy. Too bad Aza couldn't make the free throws or it could have been a different story.

Division Two Week 5 Power Ranking

PHX If you have a go-to-guy kobe like who can finish and can create shots for him selves, you'll probably dominate the bottom ten of division two teams (start counting, and yeah, thats more than half of the division two) , no doubt bout it. As shown by gandhi gun-d last sunday.

ZERO Tough lost, but they'll probably has the 'best' seed.

Cheras, 28 Jun - Siapa-siapa yang missed minggu ke-'lima' punye game day memang rugi.

Rata-rata penonton telah disajikan dengan aksi-aksi basketball yang menarik seawal jam 8 pagi hingga ke pukul 3 petang.

Non Chinese Basketball League 2009 minggu ke lima start off dengan dua perlawanan 'penentuan' tempat pertama untuk divisyen dua bagi kedua-dua groups yang di langsungkan serentak di gelanggang A dan B.

Di gelanggang A, perlawanan sangat menarik dengan aksi-aksi serang balas antara J3 dan PHX. J3 yang sebelum ini digeruni kerana kekasaran kehustlean defense mereka kali ini menggunakan taktik full court man-to-man dari awal hingga ke wisel penamat. Ini telah digunakan sebaik mungkin oleh pemain PHX, Ghandi/Shafik yang berjaya mengeksploitasi dan mendominasi keseluruhan perlawanan dan menjadi go-to-guy PHX dengan menjaringkan hampir kebanyakan mata PHX. Walaubagaimanapun, J3 sentiasa memberi tentangan and they (J3) answer it back everytime menyebabkan permainan menjadi sengit dan ini juga kerana PHX terpaksa melimitkan rotation player sehingga menyebabkan Beley kejang dan Gandi terpaksa bermain almost the full 40 minits. Manakala di gelanggang B pula, Zero yang se akan-akan menguasai permainan di awal babak pertama seolah-olah hilang arah di babak kedua apabila Army mula menguasai permainan. Ini ditambah lagi dengan permainan Abg Pae dari Army yang mengepalai pasukan batalion ini dan berjaya menjaringkan beberapa biji bola dengan aksi orthodox beliau sehingga membuatkan saudara RPK terkesima buat beberapa minit. Perlawanan diteruskan di gelanggang B antara Griffin dan Swoosh2. Swoosh 2 yang kehilangan pemain utama nya Justin Danker kerana kecedaraan mengalami sedikit kesukaran untuk mengawal tempo permainan yang rata-rata di kawal oleh pemain-pemain griffin yang lebih muda dan laju serta bersemangat. Griffin yang mengamalkan corak pertahanan yang agressif memaksa Swoosh melakukan banyak kesilapan di sebabkan kekurangan pemain yang fit dan laju. Walaubagaimanpun, Swoosh yang rata-rata di anggotai pemain yang lebih berpengalaman, nampak lebih tenang dan perlahan-lahan menguasai permainan di hujung suku ke empat. Swoosh 55 - Griffin 51

Aksi bola keranjang diteruskan dengan lebih menarik oleh pemain-pemain Arches dan Benchwarmers untuk hari itu. Benchwarmer yang bermain dengan lebih semangat dan keras berjaya mengasak pemain-pemain Archers menyebabkan mereka gagal membuat jaringan dan menggunakan kelebihan saiz mereka sebaik mungkin. Perlawanan yang agak seimbang dan fight antara kedua-dua pasukan harus diberikan pujian kerana bermain dengan penuh semangat dan tidak mengaku kalah. Akan tetapi, ada banyak lagi ruang untuk kedua-dua pasukan yang baru dan tidak berpengalaman ini untuk lebih improve and play better. Archers 52 - Benchwarmers 42

Liga Bola Keranjang Bukan Cina diteruskan dengan perlawanan oleh pasukan-pasukan divisyen satu. Dan semestinya perlawanan yang dinanti-nanti semua ialah perlawanan antara pasukan Pegasus dan Phantoms.

Phantoms yang tidak pernah menang ke atas pasukan Pegasus sepanjang sejarah pertemuan diantara dua pasukan ini menguasai babak-babak awal suku pertama dengan beberapa hasil jaringan tiga mata oleh Amirul Jay Chao dan juga hantaran cantik olehnya kepada rakan sepasukan untuk mendapat easy basket. Walaubagaimanapun, Pegasus yang sememangya di kenali sebagai pasukan slow starter mula mengatur serangan dan berjaya merapatkan mata untuk mengakhiri suku pertama melalui taktik swing, drive and kick ke arah weakside baseline membocori pertahanan Phantoms.

Permainan diteruskan pada suku ke dua dan walaupun Pegasus yang bermain tanpa kalibat, Panje Kelantan, Ajim Caru, Amin, Jon Monster, dan Shahril, serta Pok Nik "Jordan" Mahmud See My Number 23, mereka bijak mengawal permainan dan menggunakan screen untuk mismatch yang membolehkan Pegasus menjaringkan mata melalui second chances rebound.

Manakala Phantoms yang bermain tanpa dua tonggak utamanya, Sasidren dan juga Zun Cikgu Gile, tidak berputus asa dan sentiasa mengejar untuk merapatkan mata melalui cubaan-cubaan shooter mereka Imran dan Amirul. Akan tetapi, Jijun dan anak buahnya sentiasa mempunyai jawapan kepada Phantoms dan mematahkan setiap percubaan Phantoms untuk mendahului perlawanan.

Permainan yang agak agressif dan kasar antara dua pasukan ini akhirnya reach to boiling point apabila Aboy di kasari oleh Amirul membuatkan permainan terhenti seketika. Pegasus 64 - Phantoms 59

In another court Swoosh remain unbeatable by defeating Cocoro and cruising despite some good efforts showed by Cocoro to stay in the game. Swoosh yang mempunyai game final puchong open yang di mana mereka kalah hanya satu point dan Cicak serta my man Big Z mengalami foul trouble tertapi bermain dengan stylo milo nye pada malam sebelumnya tetap bermain dengan cemerlang untuk NCBL dengan Yaz masih lagi menembak secara sesuka hati like its nobody business dari jarak 3 mata walaupon off pada malam sebelumnya. 800am ARMY vs ZERO - Perlawanan yang bakal menentukan 1st place Group A. Walaupun interior defense Army teramat MENGGERUNKAN, perimeter players bagi Zero bukan calang-calang hebatnya (terutama sekali brader no. 15 Zero). Pasukan mana akan kekal unbeaten selepas perlawanan ini?
915am GRIFFIN vs SWOOSH 2 - Walaupun Griffin bermain pantas (konon-kononnya kryptonite Swoosh 2) pemain-pemain mereka lebih inexperienced berbanding otai-otai di Swoosh 2. Bak kata pepatah, "this is a battle between speed and experience". Penulis memang pandai mereka pepatah. Terima kasih.
1030am SNIPERS vs FROGGERS - Snipers kelihatan lesu berhadapan dengan hustle Benchwarmers minggu lalu. Mungkinkah mereka akan menghadapi masalah yang sama dengan hustle Froggers minggu ini dan bermain dengan emo? NCBL memang penuh dengan DRAMA.
1145am ARCHERS vs BENCHWARMERS - Perlawanan "harus-menang" bagi kedua-dua pasukan yang mahu mara ke 2nd round. Bintang-bintang Benchwarmers terlebih hype dan telah pun menyatakan hasrat mereka untuk menanam Archers, manakala Archers pula akan bermain dengan chemistry mereka yang makin lama makin berkimia.

800am PHOENIX vs J-THREE - Keseimbangan pada kedua-dua pasukan pasti menjanjikan satu match-up yang terbabow pada minggu ini.
915am ARION vs REBOUND - Rebound masih lagi tidak menunjukkan potensi penuh mereka manakala Arion pula makin lama makin mengelirukan orang dengan nama pasukan mereka yang pelik. Penulis turut serta pelik.
1030am YING HONG vs HURRICANES - Ying Hong perlu lebih memantapkan lagi defense mereka untuk bersaing dengan Hurricanes yang bermain sepantas puting beliung ini.
1145am KPTM vs TITANS - Titans dalam diam meningkat secara konsisten sepanjang NCBL setakat ini, dan ini menunjukkan potensi mereka untuk pergi jauh pada tahun hadapan.

DIVISION ONE
100PM PEGASUS vs PHANTOMS (court A - main court) - Umpama perlawanan antara permainan sekolah lama versus sekolah baru old skool vs new skool. Pegasus yang lebih versatil dan happy-go-lucky (gembira-pergi-bertuah) bertembung dengan Phantoms yang bermain dengan tahap disiplin yang super.
100PM SWOOSH 1 vs COCORO (court B - side court) - Perlawanan ini akan menjadi ujian sebenar bagi Cocoro yang diwar-warkan sebagai pasukan yang bersedia untuk memecah posisi Top 4 di dalam NCBL.
215PM FLAMES vs SCOREKEYS (court A - main court) - (alih bahasa untuk Flames) Scorekeys' Cik Arip will not be contained, but will that be enough for them to overcome Flames? After Flames' unconvincing win last week against a 5-man squad, Scorekeys should be optimistic about their chances. And they should also pray that Alex will come late again to the game. That would help them A LOT.
215PM UBSA vs PRINZE (court B - side court) - GO UBSA! Mereka bermain seperti superhero pada minggu lepas dan akan bermain dengan moral yang tinggi pada minggu ini. Tetapi mereka harus konsisten dan tidak terburu-buru dengan shots mereka kerana Prinze sama sekali bukanlah team lauk Kangkung Belacan.

Sekali lagi penulis ingin menyatakan hasratnya untuk dibelanja 100 Plus sebotol oleh seorang gadis yang comel. Kalau tiap-tiap minggu penulis dapat air free (seboleh-bolehnya tiap-tiap minggu gadis yang lain), mesti penulis akan tulis review dan preview yang lebih berkualiti. Sekian.

Hi Guys! Here I am Brian Koh, NC Development For KLBA, first of all I would like to apologize to you guys on behalf of KLBA for not organizing the KLNC since few years ago.

This year 2009, KLBA ensure at least will kick start again this project for you guys to perform.

Meeting has decide to postpone it to Sept, after raya and NCBL so you guys can continue to play.

Frankly, abang Kerol is really helping me a lot, as I just take over these group a lot of thing I still need to pickup and invent a system to ensure KLNC will goes on forever. Beside that I also need to form a committee (I wish to do it for very long time ago) and work together with you guys as a group and brainstorm about the development in future.

Abang Kerol has agree to give me a big hand on these as well, trust me you guys will have a big surprise soon.
All NC is welcome to SMS me if you interested to become our KLNC committee member.

2 information I need to pass to you guys.

1. there is a website www.klba.com.my our official website although most of it is chinese but new for NC I have to make it to English, hope you all can spend time to visit it. Sorry for not making 2 language cause no one help me to maintain the website, I do it alone.
2. Petronas Cup, Muar Johor 2009 is coming, hope you all can enjoy (maybe this is the last time), KLBA is preparing for selection, with abang Kerol help. Date is approx next weekend in MABA, time is TBA.

The only thing/issue thus far (for me personally) is the venue of the tournament. Because usually KLNC is held at Taman City. For those who've a bit familiar with Taman City court, its not in a very good condition plus, with KL traffics and all, its a bit hard to get on time for the game (in my opinion).

So my question, would it possible for KLBA to held KLNC outside of KL, in Selangor perhaps. Or at least, other venue than Taman City in that matter.
